2010-2011 Season
Home match vs Swindon FC
The return match against Swindon FC was held at Salisbury on the 26th of May. Again, due to the late start of the match most fights were to a reduced total. In addition to the main fights there was time for 2 'B' matches to allow more Salisbury members to fence. The results were as follows:

Away match vs Swindon FC
On the 2nd of March we sent three teams to compete in a friendly match against Swindon FC. Due to time restrictions the Mens Foil and Mens Epée were fenced to just 4 hits in 2 minutes instead of the usual 5 hits in 3 minutes. This measure allowed all three competitions to finish within the time allowed. It was a very enjoyable evening's fencing despite Swindon having the edge in the results.

Southern Region Junior Foil
Congratulations to Arianna Carrington who has won the Southern Region Foil competition in the under 18 age group. Other Salisbury fencers who achieved good results were Michael Ford (3rd) and Alix Dawson (6th) in the Boys under 18 age group and Stacey Bryant (5th) in the Girls under 14 age group. Well done, everyone.

Southern Region U18 Boys Epee
Congratulations to Michael Ford who has won the Southern Region Epee competition in the under 18 age group. This is a fantastic achievement in itself and also allows Michael to contest the national championships later in the season.
LPJS Kenilworth
Congratulations to Stacey Bryant in coming third in the Kenilworth Leon Paul Junior Series in the girls' under 15 foil competition on the 16th of January.
Home match vs Espada - 6th December 2010
The final score saw Espada win overall by six matches to two with the individual fights totals 41 and 31. As Richard would say, "Must try harder!".

Friendly match with Newbury
On the 2nd of June 2008, a team of four fencers: Richard, Luke, Ben and Bruce travelled to Newbury F.C. accompanied by Geoffrey Russell and John Carins as referees. The team fought one pool in each of foil and epée winning them 10-6 and 11-5 respectively. It is hoped to be able to invite a team from Newbury to a return fixture in Salisbury next season.

Chairman's Match Report
An excellent evening of fencing was carried out with many participants from both clubs able to fence competitively due to the number of Espada F.C. members who made the journey to us. Salisbury members do appreciate Espada continuing what has become an annual fixture to make our Christmas festivities so memorable.
A big vote of thanks must also go to all Salisbury's fencers and parents who contributed to our buffet which was a perfect finale to our final Monday evening of this autumn term. A very happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year.
