14th Apr 2016 Unfortunately the club session on Wednesday the 27th of April will not be going ahead. The Sea Cadets require the use of the centre on that particular evening and we have no say in the matter. All other sessions, including on the 26th, will go ahead as planned. Please spread the word to any club members who might not be aware of this notice. Thank you.

5th Aug 2015 We are delighted to announce that our new venue for the 2015-16 season will be the Salisbury Sea Cadets in Churchill Gardens. Everyone at the club is looking forward to our new home and our friends at the Sea Cadets have been very welcoming. We look forward to seeing everyone in these new surroundings soon and for a long time to come.

25th Nov 2014 All club members along with parents, guardians and friends are invited to the end-of-term Christmas get-together on Wednesday the 17th of December. There will be fencing for everyone from 7pm and then we will move upstairs to the coffee area at 8:30pm for drinks and nibbles. Please talk to Geoffrey in advance of this date to let him know what you will be bringing in the way of food. It would be great to see you all there.

18th Jan 2014 Attention junior fencers! The date for the County Youth Championships has now been set as the 24th of March. All are encouraged to attend for an exciting and enjoyable day of fencing. Download the entry form now and return it as soon as possible to ensure that you don't miss out. Good luck.

21st Dec 2013 Having been assured by Sarum Academy that the building work really is complete this time, we have arranged to move back to the refurbished venue from January 2014. The new days will be Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm. Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested in coming along.

4th Sep 2013 The club nights have had to be rearranged this year at extremely short notice because the construction work at Sarum Academy has fallen way behind schedule which has been entirely beyond the club's control. For the Autumn 2013 term at least we shall be meeting at Five Rivers on Wednesdays and Fridays. See the club page for full details and accept our apologies for the late notice. Our new season is about to begin and importantly the times of the sessions have changed. The Monday sessions now run from 7:30 to 9:30 and the Thursday sessions from 8:00 to 10:00. The hall has also apparently been refurbished again - we wait with baited breath to find out what lurid colour they have painted it this time. The first session back is the 9th of September but please see the main club page for all the up-to-date details.

17th Mar 2013 Congratulations to Miranda Carins who has become the County Champion at under-16 foil. Well done also to Grace Brown, Catriona Richards, Freddie Morris and Zaid Husseini-Eyre who all placed in the top 3 of their respective events.

25th Jan 2013 The County Junior Championships which were scheduled to be held on the 3rd of February have been put back to the 17th of March. The new deadline for entries is the 3rd of March - no entries will be accepted after this date.

12th Nov 2011 Salisbury F.C. fencers had a highly respectable showing at the Wiltshire County Championships this year. Pride of place goes to our 2 new county champions: Michael Ford in the Men's Epée and Devon Ling in the Ladies' Foil. Other trophy winners were Arianna Carrington who came second to Devon in the very closely-fought foil final and Alix Dawson who came third in the Men's foil. Alix, Michael and Devon also collected awards for the best under-20 fencer in their weapon. Very well done to all of you.

10th Oct 2011 The entry forms for the Wiltshire County Championships are now available for the Men's and Ladies' competitions. Note that there will be a special award for the best under-20 fencer in each weapon. The championships will be on Sunday the 13th of November. Directions to Nationwide House are also available.

7th May 2011 Congratulations to Alix Dawson on being selected to represent Wiltshire for this weekend's Excalibur competition in Bath. The Excalibur is a prestigious (and demanding!) inter-county competition and this selection is a reward for Alix's hard work and clear progress throughout the season. All the representative fencers are listed on the county site.

2nd May 2011 Two of our fencers qualified to compete in the British Youth Championships at the start of May, which is a fantastic achievement in itself. Both Michael Ford and Arianna Carrington have done very well this season and continued to do so at this national event. Arianna came 21st in the Under 18 Girls Foil, while Michael came 33rd in the Under 18 Boys Foil and a very creditable 7th in the Under 18 Boys Epée.
